Influence of Die Temperature on Microstructure and Strength-Toughness of B1500HS Steel

In order to optimize the strength-toughness matching of auto body components. Taking B1500HS steel as research object. The influence die temperature on microstructure and properties was studied by hot stamping tests flat die, mechanical observation tests. study shows that is not sensitive below 250°C. When 20–250°C, tensile strength above 1400 MPa, while plastic-toughness poor; 300°C, begins generate martensite-bainite phase. As increases from 300°C 550°C, hardness decrease significantly, plastic toughness have opposite trend. in has good strength-toughness. strength, percentage elongation after fracture, Vickers hardness, impact values are 1308.26 8.18%, 436Hv, 800.41 KJ·m–2 respectively.
